EMC Insurance Files to Offer 4.4M Shares of Stock

EMC Insurance Group Inc. (Nasdaq:EMCI) Friday announced it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed follow-on offering of 4.4 million shares of its common stock. The Company will sell 2.0 million shares of common stock in the offering. Additionally, 2.4 million shares of the Company's common stock will be sold by a selling shareholder, Employers Mutual Casualty Company, thereby reducing Employers Mutual's ownership of the Company from approximately 81.0 percent currently to approximately 51.3 percent.
