Court OKs Rejection of Claimant's Expert's Testimony

The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania found the employee's expert's testimony to be unworthy of belief as it was contrary to his treatment notes, lack of referrals, and emergency room records. In Quiah v. Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, No. 435 C.D. 2006, 08/04/2006, Betty Quiah filed a claim petition for compensation on Oct. 9, 2001, alleging that she suffered a work-related injury on Dec. 14, 2000, while "standing on a bucket to clean when the bucket slipped and she injured her left side and back."
