A Vinton woman pleaded guilty to workers' compensation fraud and forgery last week after an investigation found she was forging documents in order to receive undue injured worker benefits, the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation has reported.Maria Patterson pleaded guilty on May 8 to one felony count of workers' compensation fraud and one felony count of forgery, the bureau said.Franklin County Judge Guy Reece sentenced Patterson to 180 days' incarceration on each count and to pay the bureau $7,450.63 in restitution.The bureau reported Patterson had attempted to extend the ben...
