Oregon Increases Per Diem Rate

The Oregon Workers' Compensation Division announced Tuesday that the standard per diem rate for injured workers has increased to a $60 for lodging and $39 for meals. Travel in personal vehicles will be reimbursed at is 48.5 cents per mile. The changes take effect on Sept. 1. Higher rates are allowed in some counties, and the rates also vary by season in tourist areas. In Clatsop County, for example, the per diem rate is $98 from July 1 to Aug. 31 and the meal rate is $54 year round.
