Automobile Club Criticizes Vote to Raise Truck Speed

AAA Chicago said Wednesday that state senators have jeopardized the safety of all drivers and passengers with a vote to override a veto of a truck speed limit bill. The AAA said the override of SB 540, which allows large tractor-trailer trucks to travel on rural, four-lane highways at the same speed limits as passenger vehicles, was a "significant step backward."
