Even though an estimated 63% of businesses that provide health care benefits to their employees also offer workplace wellness programs, reviews are mixed as to how well the programs work.
But research is zeroing in on what makes one wellness program more effective than another. One key seems to be implementing a multi-pronged strategy, which might include on-site fitness facilities, healthy food, competitions or incentives in addition to health questionnaires and biometric screenings.
