Harleysville Insurance has
announced the appointment of new leaders of two key Midwest subsidiaries to
oversee the company's planned growth in small commercial lines and personal
lines insurance in Michigan and Minnesota.
Daniel E. Barr has been named president and chief operating officer of
Harleysville Lake States Insurance Company, headquartered in Traverse City,
Mich. Barr previously led Harleysville's Minnesota operations. He replaces
Keith A. Fry, who was promoted in August to senior vice president of field
operations at the organization's home office in Harleysville, Pa.
