Workforce Safety & Insurance is insuring fewer employers as a result of North Dakota’s economic slowdown, but losses have declined and investment income is up, resulting in an improvement in the agency’s net position.
WSI’s total net position was $609 million at the end of fiscal year 2017, an increase from $466 million at the end of the prior fiscal year, according to an auditor’s report from Eide Bailey LLP.
