After inspections revealed no fall protection at any of a New Jersey contractor's four Lehigh Valley work sites, the federal workplace safety agency fined it just shy of $292,000.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration targeted Station Builders Inc. of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, this spring as part of two compliance programs on construction worker safety. Inspections found workers using ladders improperly and working without fall protection or personal protective equipment.
