The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board has posted a list of 3,423 independent medical examiners who are no longer allowed to perform IMEs.
In a notice posted Monday, board Chairwoman Clarissa M. Rodriguez said IMEs were required to register with the board by Nov. 30 to maintain their authorization. Failure to register by the deadline would be deemed a refusal to provide information concerning authorization under the Workers’ Compensation Law.
