DWC to Resume Enforcement Activities, Announces Personnel Moves

The Texas Department of Insurance will cede enforcement responsibilities to the Division of Workers' Compensation as part of a larger reassignment of legal functions. Workers' Compensation Commissioner Ryan Brannan notified DWC employees about the changes in a March 7 email. Brannan said the DWC will resume managing the enforcement section, which was previously run by the Department of Insurance.  Marisa Lopez Wagley was named deputy commissioner of the new DWC enforcement section, Brannan said.
