Federal prosecutors will seek to compel former Pacific Hospital of Long Beach owner Michael D. Drobot to forfeit $10 million in personal proceeds allegedly tied to his kickback scheme at his sentencing hearing this week, a court document filed Friday indicates.
If U.S. District Court Judge Josephine Staton approves the personal money judgement against Drobot, the government will be free to recoup the proceeds in a number of ways.
If Drobot does not pay up, prosecutors could seize and sell the properties he owns in Oregon and/or his 1965 Aston Martin, 1958 Porsche and 1971 Mercedes Benz.&...
