The Iowa Court of Appeals last week ruled that a doctor suffering from psychosis failed to prove that his mental condition was caused by a workplace fall.
Dr. Ronald Brinck had worked at the Siouxland Mental Health Center. He was using a cane to walk down a carpeted hallway at the health center when his cane caught on the carpet, causing him to fall forward. Brinck struck his head on a door.
