A Southern California contractor faces up to 90 days in jail for allegedly operating without a license and not having workers’ compensation coverage for his employees.
The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office said Samuel Tupola, 71, pleaded guilty to both charges during an arraignment hearing Wednesday. Prosecutors said Tupola was cited March 1 for the two misdemeanor offenses.
Tupola at one point had a license to operate Center Line Masonry in Alta Loma, according to Contractors State License Board records. The license was issued in 1990 and revoked in 1995.
