The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited the Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club for failing to protect workers from rollover hazards after a worker was killed when the lawnmower he operating tipped over.
OSHA determined that the country club, located in Ghanna, Ohio, did not have a roll bar installed on the mower. The company also exposed workers to chemical hazards, failed to develop an emergency action plan, did not maintain accurate injury and illness reports and did not report the fatality as required by federal law.
OSHA is proposing $29,869 in penalties.
