Excavation Firm Once Again Hit With Trench-Collapse Danger Citations

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a Chicago excavation firm for exposing its workers to trench-collapse hazards. OG Plumbing LLC received one repeat violation and one willful violation citation for not providing cave-in protection on a 6-feet-deep trench where its workers were installing a water line. The willful violation was because the company had been cited three other times (in 2013 and twice in 2014) for the same violation, according to OSHA.
