Roofing Company Fined for Alleged Lack of Fall Protection

A Washington, Illinois-based roofing contractor is accused of exposing workers to falls of up to 20 feet, resulting in proposed fines of $76,230. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited Dealer Installations Services Inc. on Dec. 21 for one willful, one repeated and six serious safety violations, the agency said in a press release. The lack of fall protection was observed during an inspection of a residential job site on July 9, OSHA said.
