The surviving spouse of a decedent failed to file for nunc pro tunc approval of past settlements in a timely manner while attempting to comply with a court order, a New York appellate court ruled.The 3rd Appellate Department of the New York Supreme Court ruled unanimously to deny all settlements made prior to a July 2006 court order that the applicant apply for nunc pro tunc approval of those settlements.
