The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation has issued a year-end reminder to employers regarding notification to employees if the employer is a nonsubscriber to the workers' compensation system.Effective Jan. 1, Texas employers who do not carry workers’ compensation insurance coverage have new requirements for reporting their non-coverage status to the division and to their employees.In addition, those employers are required to report work-related injuries and occupational illnesses to the DWC, and to report their nonsubscriber status annually.Failure to comply with the notifica...
