California’s 2nd District Court of Appeal asked the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board to determine whether an appeal of an en banc decision that defined the deadline for lien declarations mandated by Senate Bill 1160 was brought in bad faith.
The appellate court denied a petition from Henkel Loctite Corp. and Zurich North American Insurance Co. to review the WCAB’s unanimous en banc decision finding that claimants had until July 3, 2017, to submit declarations stating they were eligible to file liens.
