A federal judge in Southern California approved a third request to delay sentencing of Michael R. Drobot, pushing the date back from Nov. 17 to Feb. 16.
A stipulation filed jointly by Drobot’s attorney and the U.S. Attorney’s Office said the delay in sentencing is needed to investigate “complex restitution issues.” The stipulation also notes that Drobot “has a more limited role in the offense” than his father, Michael D. Drobot. Therefore, “it will be more efficient” if the older Drobot is sentenced first.
