Dozen Workers in Noisy Factory Suffer Hearing Loss, OSHA Alleges

An Ohio manufacturer is facing $331,490 in penalties after 12 employees showed mild to moderate hearing loss based on audiogram measurements, according to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Polystar Inc., doing business as Polystar Containment, was cited July 19 by OSHA. The Stow-based company has 15 business days to contest the citations.
