Plattsburgh Plant Receives 7 Citations, $109,400 in Fines

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has issued seven citations with fines totaling $109,400 to composite train seat maker Multina USA of Plattsburgh for alleged repeat and serious violations of safety and health standards, and for failing to correct a previously cited violation at its Idaho Avenue manufacturing plant.OSHA explained it opened a follow-up inspection at the plant in January to verify correction of conditions cited during a 2008 inspection.The agency reported it “found the recurrence of several types of hazards,” including the alleged improper storage, tr...
