Michael A. Bownes, General Counsel for the Alabama Department of Insurance, has been awarded the 2003 Paul L. DeAngelo Memorial Teaching Award, which is given annually by the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society. The DeAngelo Memorial Teaching Award is given as recognition of excellence in insurance education.
