FPIC Reports Ten Cent Per Share Net Increase

FPIC Insurance Group, Inc. ("FPIC") (Nasdaq Symbol:FPIC) yesterday reported net income of $3.5 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, for the second quarter 2003, compared to net income of $2.6 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, for the second quarter 2002. Net income was $6.3 million, or $0.66 per diluted share, for the six months ended June 30, 2003, an increase of $30.4 million, or $3.20 per diluted share, when compared with a net loss of ($24.1) million, or ($2.54) per diluted share, for the six months ended June 30, 2002.
