The State of Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit found that the employee failed to prove "special circumstances" existed to justify the placement of restrictions on the independent medical examinations. In Henry v. Barlow, No. 06-283, 08/09/2006, Randy James Henry was involved in a Nov. 26, 2000, accident in which he suffered electrical burns to his head and feet. Henry received medical treatment for his injuries from several health care providers, including a neurologist and a clinical psychologist.
