More Public Hearings re WA 40.5% Rate Increase

The Washington Department of Labor and Industries has scheduled a fifth public hearing, this one in Yakima, to take testimony on a proposed 40.5 percent increase in workers' compensation premiums in 2003. The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m., Oct. 31, and will be held in Region 5's Yakima Field Services Location, 15 W. Yakima Ave., Suite 100. The hearing was added to give farmers, orchardists, employers and workers a convenient way to comment on the proposed rate increase. In all, five public hearings will be held.
