Endurance Specialty Files for IPO

Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. announced Friday that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 for an initial public offering of its ordinary shares. Endurance also intends to apply to have its ordinary shares approved for listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "ENH". Endurance intends to use the proceeds from the offering to provide additional capital to its subsidiaries, to repay a portion of its outstanding debt under its credit facilities and for other general corporate purposes.
