Supreme Court Tosses Award Due to Change in Statutory Presumption of Compensability

The North Carolina Supreme Court overturned an award of benefits to a Wal-Mart employee because it was unclear whether the Workers’ Compensation Commission’s decision was based only on a presumption of compensability that the legislature eliminated.
