OSHA Fines Recycler $59,000

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration proposed $59,000 in penalties against a California scrap metal recycler for exposing workers to safety risks including possible amputation.OSHA said inspectors found 10 serious violations at a Butte, Mont., recycling facility owned by A&S Metals.
