DWC Posts Adjustments to Hospital Outpatient and ASC Fee Schedule

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation posted adjustments to the hospital outpatient departments and ambulatory surgical centers section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule to conform to changes in the Medicare payment system.

The division said the updated fee schedule adopts Medicare’s payment reduction for certain X-ray imaging services. The update also eliminates a status indicator used for clinical laboratory services in table covering supplies, drugs, devices, blood products and biologicals.

The fee schedule updates apply to services provided on or after March 15.
