Prosecutors Say Indicted Doctor Was Previously Accused of Defrauding Medicare

Federal prosecutors are asking for permission to argue that a 2010 settlement with Medicare over false billing and kickback allegations shows a Southern California radiologist “devised and knowingly participated in a scheme to defraud, and acted with the intent to defraud” workers’ compensation carriers by allegedly paying kickbacks for referrals.
