An Ohio foundry operating machinery without safeguards and failing to train employees about noise and chemical hazards received 15 OSHA citations, and proposed penalties of $143,150, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Cincinnati area office announced in a press release.
OSHA issued A&B Foundry & Machining Inc., of Franklin, 12 repeated, two serious and one other-than-serious violation, the agency said. Some of the same hazards had been identified at the facility in 2012.
According to OSHA, A&B Foundry:
Allowed a machine to operate without safeguards.
