California lawmakers are scheduled to hear testimony on bills that would revise qualification standards for qualified medical evaluators and give law enforcement officers two years of salary continuation benefits for catastrophic injuries, during committee meetings on April 6.
Another batch of bills would require accreditation for utilization review plans, require medical bills be submitted within 12 months of the date of service, and order the qualifications of interpreters for depositions be stated on the record and verified.
