Longtime workers' compensation attorney Jill Gradwohl Schroeder has been named administrator for the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court.
Schroeder, who has spent 30 years with the Lincoln firm of Baylor Evnen, will assume her new duties Monday, the court announced. She replaces general counsel Lorra O'Banion, who has served as acting administrator for the past eight weeks.
The court administrator manages the court functions, is the primary liaison between the presiding judge and administrative and operational side of the court, and oversees implementation and enforcement of administrative rules and regulations, the news release said.
Before she went into private practice, Schroeder was an assistant attorney general for Nebraska. She earned her law degree from the University of Nebraska and her bachelor's degree in administration from Texas A&M University.
She is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a title that recognizes leadership in the profession. She also served on the board of the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals.
