State Fund Seeks Four-Month Stay After Moving Drobot Case In-House

State Compensation Insurance Fund ditched outside counsel in its racketeering complaint against former Pacific Hospital of Long Beach owner Michael D. Drobot and is asking the federal court in Santa Ana for a 120-day stay on all proceedings other than settlement discussions to allow the carrier’s staff attorneys to get up to speed in the three-year-old case.
