A bill in the Kansas Legislature that would move the administration of the State Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund from the Department of Health and Environment to the Department of Administration has been passed by the House of Representatives.
House Bill 2361 was passed on a 119-3 vote on Wednesday.
The bill, introduced by the House Appropriations Committee, is intended to make administration of the SSIF more efficient, while centralizing administration of state employee benefits.
