6.06% Mid-Year Rate Hike Approved Because of Protz Ruling

Acting Insurance Commissioner Jessica Altman has approved an emergency loss cost increase of 6.06%, effective Feb. 1, in response to the state Supreme Court’s Protz decision. All approved loss costs, expected loss factors and other rating values are available in two Excel files in the “Rating Values” section on the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau’s website, the PCRB said in Circular No. 1695.
