Volunteer firefighters culled together with a band of advocacy and union groups to lobby the state Capitol on Monday for bills that would prohibit certain flame retardants and offer a cancer presumption.
Groups included in the lobby were the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York and the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York, according to the Associated Press.
