Three-Member Panel Meeting Canceled

Tuesday, February 19, 2019 | 0

A meeting of the Three-Member Panel that recommends changes to Florida's workers' compensation medical fee schedules and reimbursement policies has been canceled, the Division of Workers' Compensation announced Friday.

The panel was set to meet Monday to discuss reports from the division on fee schedules, reimbursement manuals and billing disputes, but the division put out a bulletin Friday afternoon that the meeting has been canceled.

A spokesman for the DWC said the meeting may have been canceled because of a scheduling conflict. Monday also was Presidents Day, which is a federal holiday and is recognized by some businesses.

The Three-Member Panel is made up of the state's insurance commissioner and two others appointed by the governor. The panel has recommended changes to the Legislature in each of the last few years on fees to medical providers, but lawmakers have not ratified the increases, leaving many providers stuck at 2015 reimbursement rates.

Questions can be addressed to Brittany O'Neil, policy coordinator, at 850-413-1927 or Brittany.ONeil@myfloridacfo.com.
