Arizona Rep. Karen Fann amended her bill that largely addressed workers' compensation judicial proceedings to add language that would classify translation as a medical service.
The House Insurance Committee on Feb. 3 voted 8-0 to pass Fann's amended bill.
Fann, a Republican from Prescott, added to House Bill 2240 a new section that says medical, surgical and hospital benefits include translation services if needed.
