LA Dr. Guilty of Grand Theft in Work Comp Billings

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lance Ito has sentenced Dr. David G. Gardner, 59, to pay more than $1 million in restitution and three years probation for overbilling. Gardner was well known in the LA area as a physician who ran a chain of medical clinics that specialized in treating workers' compensation injuries. Gardner was the founder of Primedex Corp., a medical management company for a number of clinics that handled workers' comp cases. Primedex is now closed. Gardner was found guilty of grand theft.
