Best reports that overall employment in the insurance industry declined by 1,000 in July to 2,365,000, reflecting a total job loss of 3,000 among insurance carriers that is partially offset by a gain of 2,000 jobs among insurance agents, brokers and services.The numbers are based on Bureau of Labor Statistics seasonally adjusted data released Aug. 2.
