Chiropractor Pleads Guilty to Work Comp Fraud

The New York State Insurance Fund reported a Suffolk County chiropractor pleaded guilty to insurance fraud, admitting in court that he billed the fund for treatments he never performed. Dr. Thomas Miceli, 48, of Farmingville, N.Y., was arrested last November by the Suffolk County District Attorney's office following an investigation by fund fraud investigators. He was charged with felony insurance fraud for billing the fund $1,617 for treatments never rendered to three individuals with work-related injuries.
