Another bill designed to clarify the employer-worker relationship in the modern age could pass a state legislature this week.
Missouri Senate Bill 666 seeks to set in bold type that a franchisor is in no way the employer or even the joint employer of a franchisee or the franchisee's workers, unless the franchisor "exercises direct and immediate control over the hiring, termination, discipline and direction of the franchisee's employees."
