The St. Paul Companies (NYSE:SPC) today announced third-quarter 2002 net income of $63.3 million, or $0.27 per share, vs. a third-quarter 2001 net loss of $658.7 million, or $3.16 per share, which included $606 million of after-tax losses associated with the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack in the United States.
