Bills that would expand benefits for injured public safety workers and restrict the ability of employers to deny medical treatment are pending votes in the California state Senate after approval by the Senate Labor and Industrial Relations Committee last week.The committee on Thursday voted 5-1 to approve Assembly Bill 1227 by Mike Feuer, D-Los Angeles.
