An international organization has rolled out updated standards for electronically submitted first report of injury forms, a move that some say may cause short-term headaches but ultimately will provide long-term benefits for those handling workers’ comp claims.
The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions, or IAIABC, on Tuesday issued Release 3.1 of its EDI Claims Standards. The standards apply to electronically submitted first report of injury forms, or FROI, as well as subsequent report of injury, or SROI, forms.
