OSHA Cites Paint Manufacturer for Safety Violations

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited dry power paint manufacturer Ozark Materials for 10 safety and health violations after two workers were injured within a month of each other at the company's plant in Mount Meigs, Ala.OSHA said in a news release it initiated an inspection in December 2012 after one worker sustained a broken arm and another incurred a laceration as a result of unguarded equipment.Inspectors issued one willful violation alleging Ozark Materials failed to provide machine guards for rollers on a conveyor.
