Comp Division Schedules Hearing on 2019 Surcharge

The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation will hold a hearing in November to discuss proposed rules that would increase premium assessments. The division is proposing to increase the Workers’ Compensation Cash Fund premium surcharge, to 1.35% of all premium written, from 0.9%. The division is also proposing to bring back the Subsequent Injury Fund and Major Medical Fund assessment, at 0.1% of all premium. There was no assessment for these funds this year.
